Introducing: the fckboy blog!
Let's get one thing straight: We didn't start this company because we're heartbroken over the fckboys who wronged us. We’re not looking for anyone’s sympathy. We are way past the point of crying ourselves to sleep while listening to sad songs. We’re done with thinking, “Where did we go wrong? What could we have done differently?”
We’re doing this to help the girls who aren't quite at that point yet. To help the girls who need a little reminder of their self worth and of the way they deserve to be treated. This is for all the girls who have felt disrespected, belittled, and offended by the way someone has treated them or what someone has said to them.
There are so many books, columns, blogs, etc., telling us how to get a guy or hold our own in a relationship. Why do girls need to study up? Why should they be changing who they are or how they act just to win a guy over? Is that what life is really all about: just getting the guy? Society might try to make us feel like that, but we know we’re worth more.
We believe in writing as a form of therapy, and a way to bring people together. That’s why we’re starting this blog: as a place to tell your stories. We hope that you will submit your stories to us: No matter how long or short, how devastating or dramatic, how intense or not-so-big-of-a-deal. Chances are, the women reading this have gone through something very similar. You’re not alone in whatever you went through or are going through.
So, write to us. Let us know what you went through. Your posts will remain anonymous. We want this to be a comfortable and safe space for you to vent. We’ll post every Wednesday night, so check in and see if you find solace in someone else’s words.
We’re here to show that these fck boys are not worth your tears anymore.
And we’ll laugh while we do it.
